Tumultuous Times

A year ago my primary reason for wanting to start this blog was to provide a safe and inspiring virtual forum for the many people I was encountering...friends, family, coworkers, and acquaintances who were feeling lost and tired.  I wanted to help them keep their inner spark lit and maintain a sense of humor.  Many, myself included, were experiencing a wide array of tumultuous events in their lives, and although often surrounded by lots of people and hectic schedules, still felt isolated and lonely.  A year later, I seem to know even more people going through some upheaval of their life or a struggle with their health.

I hope together we can create a group consciousness of well being by sharing thoughts and ideas and providing healthy support for one another through the posts and comments.  Anything well intentioned and respectful that you think can be helpful to others is welcome here.  Absorb as much as you can use and feel free to share the blog with anyone you feel can benefit from it.  In the spirit of service, please contribute thoughts, feelings, and ideas you are comfortable leaving and that you believe may help others.

The Quote That Inspired It All

"Every one of us is called upon, perhaps many times, to start a new life. A frightening diagnosis, a marriage, a move, loss of a job...And onward full-tilt we go, pitched and wrecked and absurdly resolute, driven in spite of everything to make good on a new shore. To be hopeful, to embrace one possibility after another--that is surely the basic instinct...Crying out: High tide! Time to move out into the glorious debris. Time to take this life for what it is.” ~Barbara Kingsolver
